When my husband got a job that was over an hour and a half away, I knew that we were going to need a new car. You see, my husband has always drove a truck. Trucks are nice and all, but they don’t get very good gas mileage. My husband was going to need a car that got good gas mileage since he would be commuting so far everyday. Car Forums will be buzzing about the announcement by GM today that they are going to shut down 52-year-old Swedish carmaker Saab after collapse of negotiations with Stryker. Sweden will be particulary hard hit by the news as thousands there are employed by Saab. This is all part of GMs slimming down after it’s bankruptcy earlier this year. The Swedes have sent representatives to the US to try to negotiate a resolution but it looks like General Motors isn’t for budging on this issue. They’ve already got rid of several marques and Saab looks like being the latest casualty as GM tries to get back to profitability.

I’ve always been a bit annoyed by the traditional model of shopping for cars. Most dealers only handle a specific make of car, sometimes several. However, if I want to comparison shop between brands that they don’t carry, I have to drive all over town to see the different choices. That’s why I tend to prefer the used car supermarket when I am seriously shopping around. I have been given a new job by the temp agency.  I never expected to get a job this easy and cool in such a short amount of time.  But after checking in with the temps that is going to be my new Job.  And as far as the Buffalo Limousine Service is concerned they want to hire me on full time if I am up for it.  I think that I will give it a week to see if I like it.  But if it all goes as I think it will then I will be accepting the job with them.  It should be a lot of fun.
